General Conduct

Respect All Players High

Treat all players with respect regardless of their background, experience level, or roleplay style. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, and toxic behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Discriminatory language or behavior based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, etc.
  • Targeted harassment of other players
  • Excessive toxicity or hostility
  • Bullying or intimidation tactics

No Metagaming High

Metagaming is using information that your character wouldn't know in-game. This breaks immersion and creates an unfair advantage.

Examples include:

  • Using information from Discord/Twitch in-game
  • Recognizing players by voice when your character hasn't met them
  • Acting on information your character couldn't possibly know
  • Using stream information to locate or target players

No Powergaming High

Powergaming is forcing scenarios on others or performing impossible actions that give you an unfair advantage.

Examples include:

  • Forcing roleplay on others without their consent
  • Performing unrealistic actions (e.g., lifting a car by yourself)
  • Not giving others a fair chance in roleplay scenarios
  • Using game mechanics in unrealistic ways

Roleplay Standards

Value Life (VDM/RDM) High

Your character should value their life as you would in real life. Don't engage in unrealistic or suicidal actions.

This includes:

  • No Random Death Match (RDM) - killing without valid roleplay reason
  • No Vehicle Death Match (VDM) - using vehicles as weapons without roleplay
  • Surrendering in appropriate situations (when at gunpoint, outnumbered, etc.)
  • Not jumping off buildings or performing other suicidal actions

Stay In Character Medium

Maintain roleplay at all times while in-game. Use appropriate channels for out-of-character (OOC) communication.

Guidelines:

  • Use /ooc only when absolutely necessary
  • Don't discuss OOC topics in character
  • Maintain a consistent character personality
  • React appropriately to situations as your character would

Realistic Roleplay Medium

Keep your actions and scenarios realistic and appropriate for the setting. Consider what would be possible in real life.

  • No unrealistic character abilities or skills
  • Realistic reaction to injuries and medical conditions
  • Appropriate response to law enforcement
  • Realistic driving and vehicle handling

Criminal Activities

Robbery Rules Medium

All robberies must have proper roleplay initiation and reasonable demands.

  • Minimum 15-minute cooldown between robberies
  • Must have at least 2 police officers online for store robberies
  • Must have at least 4 police officers online for bank robberies
  • No robbing the same location twice in one hour
  • Proper initiation required - no "shoot first" robberies

Gang/Group Activities Medium

Gang and criminal organization activities must follow server guidelines.

  • Maximum of 8 members in any criminal activity
  • Gang wars require proper roleplay initiation
  • No KOS (Kill On Sight) zones except in established territories during active conflicts
  • Territory must be claimed through roleplay, not just violence

Server Rules

No Exploiting High

Using bugs, glitches, or mods to gain advantages is strictly prohibited.

  • Report bugs to staff instead of exploiting them
  • No using third-party software to gain advantages
  • No exploiting game mechanics in unintended ways
  • No using glitches to access restricted areas or items

Follow Staff Instructions High

Staff decisions are final. If you have an issue, use the appropriate channels to address it.

  • Comply with staff instructions immediately
  • Use the proper appeal process for disputes
  • Do not argue with staff in public channels
  • Report staff misconduct through proper channels

Important Note

These rules are subject to change at the discretion of the Epicenter RP staff team. It is your responsibility to stay updated with the current rules. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse for breaking them. The severity levels indicate the general seriousness of violations, but all rule breaches will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
